Why would I need to clone a case?
-
When details are inputted incorrectly at the creation of a case stage, the case will need to be cloned in order to make amendments.
Below are details tied to the initial creation of a case. If you have gone beyond this stage, you will need to restart the case by 'Cloning' and proceed as in question '10. How do I Clone a Case?'.
These details include:
- Client Details – Ordering of 1st and 2nd applicants etc
- Submission route
- Broker/Packager fees
-
When the full application has been submitted and there are quite a few changes required.
How do I clone a case?
- Having found the original case by searching for an existing case, select 'Clone'. This will display messages about copying the case before re-running through the initial three pages of creating the case.
- The Exclusions page, the Case Details page and then it will start copying from the 'set up clients' page.
- Following this you will be presented with a new, blank case (and reference number). All previous details entered throughout the DIP and application form should have been copied over, but they will need to re-run through all the screens again, including re-submission of the Decision in Principle.
Substitution of property
If a current case has already had a valuation, you and your client will be liable to pay to instruct another, but would not be liable for the included £150 application fee. To avoid refunding of fees, it is advisable to seek a manual material change.
How can I change a product?
- If the DIP has been accepted, it is possible to change/re-confirm your product choice on the first page of the 'Application Form'. Deselect your product and pick a new one.
- If you have previously filtered products (for example, choosing only to view tracker products) you may need to 'unlock' the DIP and amend the product filters on the first page of the DIP - 'Type of Application' screen (on the first page of the DIP).
