There are two places to create a KFI. One is a standalone KFI produced via the 'KFI' pages on the left of the screen, the other is on the first page of the 'Application Form' when confirming the product.

'KFI': Standalone KFI
You must be within a case (create a new case if required). Once within the 'Case Tracking/Status' page, select 'KFI' on the left hand side. Running through these pages will produce a standalone KFI, though it will not be saved against the case.

'Application Form': Post-DIP KFI
When a DIP has been approved, the broker may begin the 'Application Form'. The first page usually confirms the product and fees for the case and will offer to Generate KFI. Once generated (from the submitted DIP details), this is saved within the case as a KFI Print on the 'Case Tracking' page.
A) The broker is not required to generate this KFI for their case and it can be skipped by clicking 'Next'.
B) Only one of these KFIs is available on each case. If any adjustments need to be made the broker can get a standalone KFI as above (while their case is Live).
I am trying to produce a KFI and it is prompting me to 'Choose an Option' on the left hand side of the screen that isn't there.

This message appears when the system attempts to bring up the KFI as an Adobe Acrobat document in a new window. If the new window does not appear it is because your internet browsers Pop-Up Blocker settings are preventing the KFI from opening up on the screen and causing the system to hang.

First ensure pop-ups are enabled in your internet browser settings. If the problem persists hold down the control key whilst clicking 'Next' on the last page of the KFI and the KFI should open in a new screen.

If a post-DIP KFI has become stuck at this point it is likely the KFI was generated behind the scenes. If you experience this problem try returning to 'Case Tracking' and picking up a KFI Print.

You have accidentally chosen 'Review' (read-only) mode. Click 'Home' to search again for the case and choose 'Open'.

For unencumbered properties the 'Personal Details' should state 'Owner Without Mortgage'.
How do I submit a Transcribed Valuation?
(Scottish properties only)

If a valuation has already been carried out on a Scottish Property by one of our panel of valuation companies we will accept transcribe and not charge or instruct for an additional valuation.

On the 'Property to be Mortgaged' screen state that the property is in Scotland and 'Yes' to whether a valuation has been carried out, selecting one of the companies held in our panel from the list.

If the valuation was not carried out by one of the companies on our panel select 'Other' - in this case a standard valuation fee would have to be paid and we will automatically instruct for a new valuation.
How do I access my colleague who has since left the firm's cases to submit or review them?

A chosen representative from your firm would need to register with The Mortgage Works as an Administrator. Administrator access to the site will have the ability to view all cases dealt with by your firm. The account holder can view and print details from each case and are able to move cases from one account to another as they wish yet an Administrator will not have the ability to edit or submit.

For cases that have not been completed, once the Administrator has moved the case to another colleague’s account the chosen colleague would be able to edit and submit the case.
