Getting a mortgage with us

How do I get a loan with The Mortgage Works? This will reveal additional content: Before you apply, you’ll need to check our criteria to see if you're eligible.

You can book an appointment with one of the team who will personally own your case and provide as much support as you need and keep you informed on the progress of your application.

If you have any questions about our buy to let mortgages, please call 0345 607 30 21. The team are available 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Any limit on the number of mortgages I can have? This will reveal additional content: There is no limit on the number of mortgages you can have with The Mortgage Works. However, for landlords with large portfolios (11+ properties) or portfolios that are complex, we may require further information, such as business plan.
Can I get a limited company mortgage? This will reveal additional content: Yes, you can own and manage your buy to let property under a limited company with The Mortgage Works. We have a select offering of limited company mortgages available to first time, experienced and portfolio landlords.

Will I need a valuation on my property? This will reveal additional content: All new applications with The Mortgage Works will require a property valuation. Some mortgages offer a free valuation as a benefit of the mortgage. Take a look at our mortgage finder for more information on what's available.

Managing your account

Can I log in to manage my account online? This will reveal additional content: Yes, you can explore your mortgage online. View your total balance, next payment date and amount online in one place.

You can also make changes to your mortgage, such as changing your details, payments, or mortgage term.

Can I pay off my mortgage early? This will reveal additional content: You can completely pay off your mortgage, also known as redeeming your mortgage, before the end of its term.

To do this, you’ll need to request a redemption statement. This will show how much you still owe on your mortgage, any Early Repayment Charges, and mortgage exit fees you need to pay.

Can someone else speak to you on my behalf? This will reveal additional content: You can set up a short term arrangement to allow a trusted person to help manage your mortgage. This is called Third party access.
