Prepare for the new Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard
From 1 October 2030, all privately rented homes must meet a minimum energy efficiency rating of C or have a valid exemption.
If not, you won’t be able to continue letting it and may face financial penalties and limited mortgage options.
We’re working with Eco Approach to offer you a free property assessment to help you meet the standard.
Funded by The Mortgage Works, this service comes at no cost to you and gives you:
- Tick icon Information on how far you are from an EPC C rating
- Tick icon Clear, expert recommendations to improve efficiency, with estimated costs
- Tick icon Help understanding any exemptions or exceptions
Take the guesswork out of improving your property - and get tailored advice from experts at Eco Approach.
This offer is available only for properties mortgaged with The Mortgage Works that currently hold an EPC rating of D-G. For other properties, the assessment will need to be self-funded. Free property assessments are valid for 90 days from the date of communication. The booking must be made within this period, but the appointment can take place later.
While Eco Approach has been selected for its experience in energy ratings and retrofit services, it is an independent provider and not affiliated with The Mortgage Works. We do not guarantee or take responsibility for their services, including any work carried out. Any agreement you enter is directly with Eco Approach, and The Mortgage Works accepts no liability for any resulting costs, loss or damage.
