Help switching your mortgage online

We are currently working to improve our online mortgage switching experience. While we are working on this, we have put together some hints and tips to help you navigate your way through our current online switching tool.

To start your switch, you'll need:

  • your date of birth
  • the first 8 digits of your mortgage account number, which you can find on your mortgage statement
  • if you pay your mortgage by direct debit, the sort code of the account you use to pay
  • if you don't pay by direct debit, the exact amount of your last mortgage payment

Important:

Even if you have both the sort code and the payment amount, do not enter both. Only use the last payment amount if you do not pay by direct debit. If you attempt to input both, the system will not allow you to proceed.

Creating and accepting your offer

Once you have decided on the best offer for you, you can go ahead and click 'create offer'. Please note the offer will be valid for 21 days and if you create a new offer, the old one will no longer be valid.

After the offer is created, you will need to accept it to complete the switch.

To do this, you first need to read the statements displayed on screen and agree by ticking the boxes. You can also choose to get confirmation of your offer via email.

Click 'accept' once you are happy to proceed. If you have chosen to pay any fee upfront instead of adding it to your mortgage, you will be asked to do that next.

Confirming your offer

The final screen you will be taken to is confirmation of your product switch.

You can download a copy of your offer details with the 'review offer' button.

We'll send you a confirmation letter in the post with the details of your new mortgage deal and the monthly payments, but you will not receive this until the switch is completed.

Cancelling your switch

If you do decide for any reason that you wish to cancel, you will find the 'cancel switch' button on the bottom left corner of the confirmation page. You'll be able to find your deadline for cancellation on this screen too.
